Last week, we have concluded our hybrid TeleTrip Festival Finals on 29 May 2022 with a total of 123 participants! Some players were even joining us all the way from Brazil! Many thanks to Tencent, AOC Gaming and Digital for Life Festival for making this possible!
Gaming as a Family
To encourage families to compete and have fun together at TeleMatch, family-friendly mobile games such as Brawl Stars and Roblox were the titles of TeleMatch. It was amazing to see families playing together and seeing their children leading their families and coordinating the matches with their opponents because they were more familiar with the games.
We also had teams made up of siblings competing together and it was a sight to behold seeing their parents cheering for them at the side.
We Made It to the Finals!!
For the TeleTrip Festival Finals, semifinalists from both TeleMatch will play on a separate day together, as compared to having all the games completed within a single day. It has been a long time since we had players gathered together onsite and it was indeed a heartwarming experience.
Like the Backstreet Boys’ famous song lyrics, we could see the players cheering for the semifinalists even though they are not from the same game. The players were curious about the other game’s semifinalists and the rules of the game, constantly asking who they are and what they are playing. The cheers from the other players while the games played were very encouraging.
